The OneWorld South Asia news portal is a globally trusted alternative media platform highlighting latest news and views on the MDGs, governance, civil society action, and campaigns for sustainable development, human rights and climate justice in the South Asia region.
OneWorld Foundation India is now looking for bright, young interns for its online media initiatives.
Responsibilities
The candidate will support the Emerging and Community Media team to:
- Select, edit and upload daily content on the OneWorld news portal.
- Report and file news stories on public development events, conferences and meetings.
- Conduct interviews with leading stakeholders.
- Produce online video stories/documentation (inclusive of scripting, shooting and editing).
- Support OneWorld’s other online and offline communication initiatives.
Qualifications
The candidate is a graduate/in final year of graduation in communications, journalism, social sciences or any other related discipline.
The candidate must have a good understanding of development issues and excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Hindi. In addition, he/she must be self-motivated, enterprising and open to learning.
