Area of responsibility:
You will produce analysis on strategic trends and key issues in international security policy. In your capacity as an analyst with broad-ranging expertise in geopolitical developments and security and defence policy, you will contribute to the CSS policy briefs and other think-tank products of the institute providing strategic insight. In addition, you will be in charge of a specific research field within the CSS. Your area of responsibility also includes maintaining contacts with foreign partner institutes and conceptualizing and organizing conferences.
Requirements:
– University degree (preferably PhD) in political science/international relations or a related discipline;
– Expertise in the field of security studies;
– Excellent analytical skills;
– Experience in authoring policy-oriented publications;
– Experience working in a think-tank setting / policy-focused environment a major plus;
– Excellent written and spoken English language skills; good German a plus;
– Administrative skills in an international environment; organizational skills.
