IMPORTANT POINT TO NOTE

We have got the quotation from TATA AIG basis the survey we had done in March 2022.

After the closure of the scheme, we will go back to TATA AIG with the final list. Depending on the number and other demography of our final list, TATA AIG will arrive at final premium amount, which may be higher or lower than the one they have offered now, depending on extent of variation in demographics of the final list from the original list. If TATA AIG premium is lower than the collected money, it will be notified to all participating alumni and a refund or an additional policy such as accidental coverage etc may be issued to them by our agent. Similarly, if TATA AIG fixes a higher premium than what we have collected, we will come back to participating alumni and seek additional funds to meet the shortfall. Please remember, Insurance Company reserves the right to change any feature of the policy or deny the policy.

At this stage, we can only request all IIMCAA Members to participate in this in large numbers so that we can further negotiate with Insurance Company for some added benefits.

IIMCAA is on its way to scripting History. Be on its right side.

Personal Accident Insurance  + Healthcare Top UP Plan

Due to smaller number of respondents during our survey, no insurance company has offered us personal accident plan or top up plan. For PA Plan, its premium is very low. For top up, the premium is a function of demography (number of members in the family and their age) of each case.

To help IIMCAA members take these plans, we have got our Insurance Agency recommended plans from HDFC Ergo as they are one of the best in the industry with one of the best claim settlement ratios. Plus, our agency will handhold you during the process of taking insurance and during claim settlement also, should the need arise.

Recommended Super Top Up Product from HDFC Ergo

https://www.hdfcergo.com/docs/default- source/downloads/brochures/myhealth_medisure_super_top_up_insurance_brochure.pdf

We recommend that you take Super Top Up of around Rs. 20 lakhs with Rs. 5 lakhs deductibles. Meaning, Super Top Up will trigger only when your medical bill crosses Rs. 5 lakhs.

Features of HDFC ERGO Super Top Up:

  • Private AC room allowed (no cap)
  • HDFC ERGO has the most networked hospitals across the country – cashless facility
  • In house TPA – no brokers/ intermediate agencies
  • Lifelong renewal
  • No Claims Experience Loading on Renewal
  • 30 days Pre and 60 days Post hospitalization covered

Recommended Personal Accident Plan from HDFC Ergo: https://www.hdfcergo.com/documents/crosslink/personal-accident-insurance-policy-wording.pdf Features of HDFC ERGO PA:

  • Low premium
  • Covers permanent disablement – depending on extent and organ
  • In-hospital medical expenses – accident only
  • Covers burn
  • Hostage release fees

Cashback on all plans other than IIMCAA Group Healthcare Insurance: Our agency has agreed to give a cashback of 5% of insurance premium excluding GST on all products that you may purchase from them. This will be returned to you via a mode you suggest to them after 30 days of issuance of policy. For Car insurance 5% cash back will be excluding GST and Third- Party Insurance.

Insurance Agency is an external party and not related with IIMCAA. It is the same agency that has got us the IIMCAA Group Health Insurance Plan. Because of statutory guidelines, they will not mention cash back in writing to any individual. They will facilitate and guide you in case your face any problems during claims and hospitalizations.
